Bronx, NY.... In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Bronx River Art Center presents Mujeres Latinas, an all-female musical ensemble originating from various Latin-American countries and residing in various parts of New York City. The group is set to take stage at the beautiful Drew Gardens, overlooking the Bronx River, for a festive outdoor concert intended for all ages, families and music lovers. Mujeres Latinas will perform original songs that web through Latin Jazz, Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Latin Rock and Reegeton to express the diverse backgrounds and interests of this talented ensemble.

The group’s mission is to bring together people from around the world to congregate and exchange ideas in order to encourage creativity and community. Mujeres Latinas is led by Adela Dalto, an accomplished Latin Jazz singer and songwriter who has steadily built a successful solo career as well as performed with Mario Bauza, Mauricio Smith, Jerry Gonzalez, and Lee Konitz, to name a few. The remaining members of Mujeres Latinas have performed independently with such acts as Mario Rivera’s Merengue-Jazz, Annette Aguilar and Stringbeans, and Jimmy Bosch.
