These
artistically designed gifts capture the Bronx River's newly restored natural
landscape and transform it into functional home and personal care products.
There are different images for each season - winter, spring, summer and
fall - that presents this unique natural resource, New York CityÕs only
true river, as a revitalized jewel in the heart of the Bronx. These products
are designed and produced by artists, students and community residents
of the Bronx River Art Center (BRAC) - a multi-cultural community based
non-profit organization. All proceeds support BRAC's free education, exhibition
and performing arts programs.
About
the Herbs used in our products
LAVENDER
was used for aromatic purposes by the Romans in washing water and baths.
It is effective to cure headaches, especially when related to stress and
to clear symptoms associated with weakness and depression.
CHAMOMILE flowers help to ease nervousness, depression and headaches.
SPEARMINT
was used by the ancient Greeks to scent their bath water. It stimulates
a tired mind and helps with headaches, nervous strain, fatigue and stress.
About
our images and fabrics.
We produce our sachets with a variety of seasonal images and a broad assortment
of multi-colored silk and cotton fabrics. Please specify the season and
we will create a unique item just for you.
