MSCreate ft. JJGRANT: Summer 2025

A Creative After-School Arts Program for Middle Schoolers

MSCreate is a FREE after-school arts program designed for middle school students in grades 6–8. Through hands-on art-making and mentorship, students build creative confidence and learn how to express themselves through various artistic forms.

Applications for Summer 2025 open June 6! Space is limited, with priority given to Bronx residents in ZIP codes 10457, 10458, and 10453.

Summer 2025 Session:

July 7 - August 22
Sessions meet Monday through Friday. 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Family Orientation: Monday, July 7, 2025 @ 4:00 pm

Program Schedule:

• Mondays: July 7, July 14, July 21, July 28, August 4, August 11, August 18
• Tuesdays: July 8, July 15, July 22, July 29, August 5, August 12, August 19
• Wednesdays: July 9, July 16, July 23, July 30, August 6, August 13, August 20
• Thursdays: July 10, July 17, July 24, July 31, August 7, August 14, August 21
• Fridays: July 11, July 18, July 25, August 1, August 8, August 15, August 22

What to Expect:

• JJGRANT leads the I SEE ME program on Mondays and Thursdays. Focusing on self-expression and emotion through fashion and design.
• BRAC Teaching Artists offer engaging sessions in visual arts on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
• Students will gain confidence, learn new techniques, and have fun in a welcoming creative space.

Additional Info:

• Participants may be eligible for a stipend (details shared upon acceptance).
• Program is free, with all materials provided.

Cancellation Policy: If a class does not meet capacity (7), it may be canceled, in which case students will have the option to either take another class or receive a full refund.

Unless otherwise noted, all classes include materials and use of professional equipment.

DIRECTIONS TO CENTER:  By Train: Take #2 or #5 to West Farms Square/East Tremont. Walk one block east to Bronx Street. By Bus: Take #'s B9, 21, 36, 40, 42, or Q44 to East Tremont and Boston Road. By Car: Take Bruckner Expressway to Sheridan Expressway, and exit at East Tremont Ave. Turn left at the traffic light one block down onto East Tremont. Turn left after one block onto Bronx St. (Cross Bronx Expressway) towards Rosedale Ave, then exit. Turn left onto Rosedale Ave, then take a left onto Tremont Ave. Drive four blocks to West Farms Square.
