“Consider Water” has five sections. “Everything Water” is the opening 6 minute solo that uses the body to recreate qualities of water. It explores facts about water through movement. Including, the fact that water is the only substance on earth that comes in three different forms (liquid, solid, gas) and it gives life, sustains life and takes life among many other things.
About the Performance Artist:
Choreographer/dancer/teacher Davalois Fearon was born in Jamaica and raised in the Bronx, New York. She is a recipient of the 2014 Bronx Council on the Arts BRIO fellowship, a member of the Joyce Theater’s Prestigious Young Leaders Circle Artists’ Committee, and a senior member of the Stephen Petronio Company. Her choreography has been presented nationally and internationally. In addition, she has performed and taught around the world, developed an education program for the Stephen Petronio Company, staged Petronio repertory, and assisted Mr. Petronio in the creation. Dava received a BFA from the Purchase College Conservatory of Dance.
