BRONX RIVER Sights & SOUNDS Festival
Please join us for the 9th Annual BRONX RIVER Sights & SOUNDS Festival with a great series of performing artists during the month of June, 2012.
This performing arts lineup highlights renowned and emerging artists whose work transverses languages, style, and geography. The series features three unique performances in satellite locations across the Bronx as a continuation of our BRAC on the Block programming while our main facility undergoes a capital renovation.
We kick things off with an outdoor concert of Haitian music by the charming singer-songwriter-guitarist Monvelyno Alexis Quartet. The rhythm keeps going with an eclectic performance of Latin Jazz and Salsa by Chico Alvarez & RumbaySón and then goes out with a boom(box) through Death in the Afternoon by performance artists Irvin Morazan and Shaun El C. Leonardo.
