Event Space Rentals:

Interested in hosting an event in our Gallery or Performing Arts/Event Space? Email events@bronxriverart.org or call (718) 589-5819 (ext. 10).

We have a beautiful ground-floor event space of approximately 1,200 sq. ft., with a capacity limit of just about 100 people, or less for seated events. The space opens to a lovely patio and garden, with potential outdoor seating in the spring, fall, and summer. The event space is in the back half of the ground floor, and our public art gallery is in the front half. BRAC rentals are open Monday through Friday, from 10am-8pm, and Saturday, from 10am-6pm. (Outside of those times, there may be an extra fee.) Guests can enter through the gallery during business hours; during off-business hours, they can enter through the side doors to our central vestibule. For pricing, contact BRAC at events@bronxriverart.org.

Capacity for the space is 70 seated for meals or workshopping, and up to 90 for seated lectures or networking. Amenities include a mix of three different chair types, (10) 6' tables, and (5) bar-height 4' tables. We also have a pantry with a serving window, which includes a sink, a small refrigerator, and two large coolers. For a formal dinner, it is advisable to rent a greater number of tables, as well as the appropriate chairs.

Selling liquor requires the renter's own one-day liquor license, and depending on the event, security guards may need to be hired for an extra fee. (For lecture or non-party performance events, our staff would be included in the fee.)

There is a pantry connected to the event space, with double-door windows opening to the space. Drinks could be sold or passed through these windows; food could also be walked through the pantry's side door and a short corridor to the space. The pantry is limited to a microwave, sink, and refrigerator. No cooking is allowed on premises, aside from usage of the microwave. The space needs to be cleaned up back to its original state, or funds will be withheld from the deposit.

We need to provide two staff members for any event, and this is included in the rental costs. A third staffer may be necessary (for an extra fee) if the crowd or event is larger or more rowdy. The renter will need pick up the staffing costs if the event runs into overtime or late hours.

Green roof is a separate rental. For pricing, please contact us at events@bronxriverart.org.

Rehearsal Space Rentals:

BRAC’s rehearsal space is a 1,000 sq-ft. room on the second floor of our renovated building, accessible by elevator and stairs. In line with the building's original architecture, it has six double windows — on the east, west, and south sides of our building — which offer generous lighting throughout the day, in all seasons, with views of the river on two sides, and no obstructing pillars.

Interested in renting our rehearsal space? Email events@bronxriverart.org, call (718) 589-5819 (ext. 10), or submit a request.
